Why are Foundation wall probes and Floor Cores performed?
Generally, foundation wall probes and Floor slab probes are performed to verify the thickness of a wall or floor for engineering report purposes.
Also foundation wall probes can be performed to verify what is seen on the adjacent side of a foundation wall.
Why are Geotechnical Borings done?
Borings are frequently done to allow a geologist or engineer to examine soil or rock cuttings or to retrieve samples at depth using soil samplers, and to perform in-place soil tests.
